Police Pension Scheme 2006

This section is applicable to those Active Members that have been afforded transitional protection in the Police Pension Scheme 2006 (referred to as the 2006 Scheme throughout this section).

It is also applicable to those Officers that have left the 2006 Scheme with a deferred benefit, or those already in receipt of a pension awarded under the 2006 Scheme.

Please Note

Further information regarding the Police Pension Scheme reform can be found on the Home Office section of the gov.uk website.

Due a change in the 2006 Scheme regulations on 8th October 2018, it is no longer a requirement for you to nominate a cohabiting partner to receive a survivor's pension after your death. However, Dyfed-Powys Police may still request that you complete the appropriate cohabiting partner nomination form in order to keep their records up to date.
