Dyfed Pension Fund – Pensions Dashboard Implementation Statement
1. Introduction
The Dyfed Pension Fund is committed to supporting the UK Government’s Pensions Dashboard Programme (PDP), which aims to provide individuals with secure online access to their pension information in one place. This statement outlines our approach to preparing for connection to the dashboards ecosystem in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidance.
2. Governance and Oversight
The Pensions Committee and Local Pension Board have been briefed on the dashboard requirements and have endorsed a phased implementation plan. Oversight is provided by the pensions manager, with regular updates scheduled to ensure accountability and progress tracking.
3. Data Readiness
We have undertaken a comprehensive review of our member data using PASA’s Data Guidance and TPR’s “Preparing to Connect” checklist. Key actions include:
• Cleansing and validating member records
• Enhancing matching criteria to improve dashboard search accuracy
• Reviewing AVC and deferred member data for completeness
4. Technical Preparation
The Fund has been working with its software provider to ensure dashboard compliance, including:
• API integration for dashboard connectivity
• Secure authentication protocols
• Real-time response capabilities for dashboard queries
5. Staging Timeline
In accordance with the DWP’s staged timetable, the Dyfed Pension Fund will be connected to the dashboard ecosystem on 31st October 2025 subject to final confirmation from the PDP and our technology partners.
6. Risk Management and Data Processing Impact Assessment (DPIA)
The fund risk register has been updated and a DPIA has been created to identify the potential issues, including:
• Data quality risks
• Cybersecurity and privacy concerns
• Member communication challenges
7. Member Engagement
We have issued communications to scheme members and scheme employers in respect of Pensions Dashboard. This will continue until the Dashboard ‘go live’ date is announced and members will have access to their pension data.
8. Compliance and Reporting
The Fund will comply with all statutory duties under the Pensions Dashboards Regulations and will report any breaches in line with TPR’s guidance.
