Deferred

If you were once a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and you decided to leave your benefits within the Dyfed Pension Fund when you left, you will have what is known as a Deferred Benefit. A deferred benefit is a pension benefit that is retained in the LGPS until it becomes payable or is transferred from the Fund.

Your deferred benefit is inflation proofed and its value will increase every year in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) until payment. Your pension will continue to receive an annual increase once in payment.

The Dyfed Pension Fund has further developed its service by introducing the My Pension Online facility, which will enable you to securely access your pension details online.
